From the Lignin lake via the Bressenge valley. From Colmars, then the Pont de Serre (parking): go up the valley towards the South East (passing in front of the Juges hut).

Only the hut on the right remains open all year round. This hut is not intended to be a refuge but only a shelter in case of bad weather (as stated on the sign on its facade). Note that it may be occupied by the shepherd during the summer grazing period. You may take shelter here in case of bad weather only, but you are asked to respect the tools present (a saw is provided for your use). According to recent posted photos, split wood has been taken from the outdoor storage. You are asked not to use this storage, which is used by the owner for the second closed hut (owner present every two/three days except in winter). Dead wood is abundant downstream around the riverbed. Final note: in case of absolute necessity during winter (bad weather), you may occupy the upstairs area for the night, but given the small size of the hut, it should be noted that only 5 people can sleep there.
