From the Aston valley: drive up to the parking area at the first hairpin bend just above the Riète dam, past the EDF power plant. Descend a few dozen meters northwards to cross the stream on the left (2 footbridges), then climb into the forest via a good trail that curves southwards to the Pont du Pas de la Crabe, reached after a short descent. Cross the bridge to change sides and continue climbing until you exit the forest. Take another footbridge, then climb left to reach a track that runs flat south-westwards along a half-buried pressure pipe. Reach a water intake near a small dam where large quantities of water are released (in spring at least). The climb is almost over; continue along the right bank of the stream in an area that can be damp in spring at least. Pass the Cabane de Quioulès, then continue to the Cabane de Bela, located on the flat above the drop to the south of the hut. Continue southwards (do not take the obvious footbridge that leads westwards to the Cabane de la Sabine). Find another footbridge further on to cross the stream, then climb the short steep section via a good path. Arrive on the flat where the hut stands, divided into two parts (on the right for hikers, note: capacity ≤ 3/4).
Facilities: 1 sleeping platform, 1 small table, 1 small bench (everything is small at Bela). Outside, a wooden picnic table with its two attached benches.
