The best access is from the plateau de Beille, as the downstream part of the Poussiergues valley is too overgrown and rocky. Alternatively, from the col des Finestres to the southeast at the top of the combe where the cabin is located.
Cabin mainly used by hunters. Excellent insulation. Dishes available. Table and benches. Water is in the stream below. Wood is available all around.
