Access via cairned and marked trails (yellow) from Lake Nino to the south, from the Poppaghia Forest House to the north, or via the Valdu Niellu Round Trail which passes 200 meters from the bergerie.
Sept. 2014: bergerie closed, an abandoned cabin is left open 50 meters downhill to the north of the bergerie and can serve as an emergency shelter if needed (drafts, part of the roof missing). Colga spring and river nearby. June/October 2016: the bergerie is left open outside its usage periods. Poorly drawing chimney, holey door (October 2017: lower part of the door torn off...), some dry wood/chips, table, a few cooking utensils, bed with 4 foam mattresses. Property of a private individual - must be respected at all costs! 10/2018-05/2021: broken door, interior quite dirty but beds/mattresses in good condition; a metal sheet can be used to block the bottom of the door at night. 08/2023: northeast corner of the building starting to lose stones, roof leaking in places; still bunk beds with 4 mattresses, still full of litter and mistreated by visitors...
