The ruined shepherd's hut of Ceppu is an unguarded cabin located in Corte, in Haute-Corse. It is owned by a private owner.

Access

Same access as the adjacent source of Ceppu: from the West, via marked cairned paths from the Camputile plateau or from the Inzecche shepherd's huts; from the East, via cairned trails from the Tavignanu valley or from the Binadelli shepherd's hut. The shelter is an old casgile (cheese cave in dry stone) easily identifiable at the southern edge of the ruined shepherd's huts site of Ceppu.

Good to know

Casgile in good general condition, the main opening (low door) and the ventilation duct face North, no leaks or drafts. Caution is required inside: earthen floor (humidity), low ceiling with risk of falling stones or even collapse!
