Road access via the forest road of La Coche (between Saint Agnan and Rousset, closed in winter), the hostel is a few minutes from the La Coche parking lot. Access on foot, cross-country skiing, snowshoes, via the GTV variant, along the forest tracks of Combau (Grd Veymont) and du Rachier (Grande Cabane). Access by mountain bike via the GTV variant, the only route authorised for mountain bikes in the nature reserve.
This forest hostel, located on the edge of the nature reserve of the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors, is managed by the ONF. WARNING the hostel is open all year round, but only by reservation. Nightly rate: from 100 to 150 € (from 1 to 8 people 100€, from 9 to 17 people 150€). The nearby forest house of La Coche is closed. Well-equipped hostel (comfortable mattresses, electricity (lighting by photovoltaic panels), stove, dry toilets), wood reserve and fixed gas stove available. Drinkable water tank nearby. Bring disinfectant tablets. 2 dormitories with 7 and 10 beds. Ecological toilets, no showers. Wood stove. Accommodation for donkeys and horses. Regarding water: in summer, non-drinkable water from collection is available. In winter: overflow from the La Coche tank 400 m away sometimes flows, otherwise melt snow!
