In the heights of Megève, parking "Les Frasses". About one hundred metres of elevation from the terminal parking of the road, heading towards Col du Jaillet and the (Petit) Croise Baulet.
A very simple wooden cabin with a tin roof in the forest, in a small clearing surrounded by fir trees. 2 rooms, the first with an earthen floor, quite damp, has 2 benches carved from wood and a large log serving as a small table. The second room, about 3m x 3m, has a wooden floor that could possibly be used for sleeping, although nothing is provided: no bunks, the room is completely empty. The cabin has no door and the 2 small windows have no glass. In short, the temperature inside the cabin is quite close to that outside. However, waterproofing is good (though average regarding wind, with some drafts...). Watch your head, the entrance door is low in height, as are some beams in the sleeping area! The only and unique amenity: a broom (a brush broom), which works well on the wooden floor of the "bedroom". Outside, a fountain with a very good flow (May 2012) as well as fairly recent ecological dry toilets. Due to the proximity of the road, the usual damage of this type of cabin can be found here: graffiti everywhere on the interior and exterior walls. Distressing...
