On the GR5c trail. 20 to 30 minutes' walk from the Col de Granon parking lot. Several hours' walk from the Croix de Toulouse.
The shelter is marked on the IGN map as an unmanned refuge. In reality, it is merely a basic shelter providing protection against wind or rain. It consists of four walls, a solid roof, two window openings without glass, and an entrance without a door. Part of the floor is made of planks. There is no furniture or any equipment to spend the night or to keep warm. The area is scattered with remains of former military shelters.
