Access

From Villar-Saint-Pancrace, just after Briançon while ascending to the Col des Ayes. Along a drivable road leading to the Chalets des Ayes.

Good to know

It is a very simple and basic shelter but extremely sturdy with reinforced concrete and a very thick metal roof where even the strongest storm or tempest will not move it, bunker-style, and one feels safe inside. There is also a picnic table not far away on the path.
