Access via the GR tour of the Dévoluy. From the hamlet of Rabou or from the Dévoluy via the Col de Rabou.
The building is maintained by volunteer archaeologists from the AHACB. It is not a place of accommodation but can serve as an emergency shelter in bad weather for a group of about ten people. There are benches and tables, and the door closes properly. The surrounding terrain is flat and grassy enough to accommodate comfortable bivouacs. The nearby Crotte stream provides water. Caution: the chapel is located at the edge of the Bois du Chapitre strict biological reserve.
