From Embrun, drive to the hamlet of Caléyère, then continue on the road to its end at the Forêt car park (1587 m). Then, on foot, follow a path joining the Fontainiers track near the hut of the same name. Simply follow it to the clearing where the hut is located. All these paths are well marked, running through a magnificent larch forest.
Well-maintained, well-insulated hut, with a ground floor comprising: a table, two benches, a broom... but no saw or axe for chopping wood. An upper floor for sleeping on the wooden floor. A nice fountain and its trough is nearby. Lovely view of the Ubaye massif.
