Access via the "tour des cabanes" trail, starting from Frédancon and the GR105. Access is straightforward from Péguère. A few short rocky sections with cables from Cortail de Batoua + stream crossing. No major difficulties, except possibly in case of snow / ice / high water.
Open cabin, very clean and well-equipped, maintained and occupied by local hunters. GSM network available. 4 mattresses, and space on the floor (about 3-4 people). Spring before arriving at the cabin coming from Péguère. Equipped with a wood saw, a shovel, brooms, a few plates, cups and cutlery, pots. Open fireplace effective (temperature rises from 5 to 18 degrees quickly). The fireplace smokes when cold; the fire must be built against the iron plate at the back right, directly under the flue, to solve the problem. A sleeping bag and a tent are also available in the cabin.
