Main access via the Rioumajou valley, marked "Lustou" on signs, then cairns along the track indicate the path to follow. The hut is well camouflaged on the way up, so using a GPS/compass on the final approach may be helpful, especially if there is snow and the track is not visible. Track and cairns also from Lustou (descent).
Open, with two rooms: a kitchen and a bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a sink but there is no water in the hut or nearby, a gas stove, cutlery and long-expired canned food. The bedroom has mattresses and blankets, but the dirty condition and the visible presence of rat poison discourage spending the night there. Shelter nonetheless useful if the weather turns bad. Spring behind the hut (east direction), tapped.
