On the road from Autrans to the Gève refuge, park at the 1231 m point. Take the forest road des Epérières until a small quarry on the right. Take a small path to the left of the quarry for 20 m.
More a heritage preservation than a usable shelter, built at the end of the 19th century near a small slate quarry operated by Pierre-Lucien Chabert (1821-1896), known as 'Pétrus'. It served as a refuge in bad weather and as a storage place for tools, avoiding the need to return to the village, about 2h30 on foot. There was a small stove to improve living conditions. 2 m by 3 m, ceiling 1.50 m, half of the floor raised to be slightly insulated from moisture. Can be used for shelter or a meal.
