Frankly, do you really want to go there?
What to say? First of all, the forest separating the communes of Bévenais and Longechenal is sick, hence clear-cutting areas unfortunately growing more and more. And among these islands of despair, a lonely wooden cabin still stands proudly (at least as of March 2026). The foresters did not want to destroy it out of sentimentality or in agreement with local hunters and walkers? A mystery... But if it still has its four walls, its door and especially its roof, the insulation leaves much to be desired with windows without panes whose fragments are clearly visible nearby. The interior is acceptable if you are not too fussy about dirt, with a table and two benches in good condition. And what about the stove present? In short, long live this cabin in this hostile environment, even if the most realistic will say it is wishful thinking. PS: the name of this cabin on this sheet is purely personal... given the atmosphere.
