By car, go to the Chausson parking area (721 m), located north of the hamlet of Le Fayard (Montaud municipality). Then, on foot, follow a yellow/green marked trail (direction "Dent de Moirans"). 5 minutes after an orientation table, spot the hut above and to the left of the path.
This hut has undergone a magnificent renovation completed in November 2025, providing excellent insulation. Equipment includes: a large table, benches, chairs and stools, a stove, a broom, tools for cutting wood... and the famous guestbook. No nearby water source, but plenty of dry wood all around! Mobile network: modest signal (Orange) but usable at the hut entrance.
