From Gleyzin, La Bourgeat noire, follow the Tour du pays d'Allevard (1h).
Hut in excellent condition, maintained by the association Tous à poêle. Water source nearby. Quite frequented due to its proximity. Inventory: broom, shovel, poker. Sleeping on wooden planks, with mattresses and a few blankets. Table and benches (picnic style). Dishes (cutlery, plates and pots). A small library for reading or exchanging books. Clean dry toilets. Several spots around to pitch a tent. Axe, saw and sawhorse to chop wood under the wood shelter. There is also some wood stored in the forest 50 metres below the hut. It is advisable to bring some up when using it. Mobile network: none, except for very weak and fleeting signals (Orange), by walking around. Bouygues GSM signal when walking 200 m towards Lac Rouge. Note: This hut, like other non-guarded huts accessible from the Gleyzin valley, is regularly subject to acts of vandalism (damage, sabotage) with no apparent motive, for several years now.
