Access

From Gleyzin/Le Colhard, follow the GR de pays for about one hour. At the location called "Le Colhard" there is only space for 2 or 3 cars. The trail is wide and well-marked, continuing towards Praillet to the north. There is a blue-marked trail coming from the Vay refuge to the south, noted as difficult on the Didier Richard 1:50,000 maps.

Good to know

The open part of the cabin makes up about half of the building. Sleeping quarters are upstairs on wooden platforms. The main room features a stove and a large table. General comfort is basic but fairly clean. There is a fountain/trough nearby and wood in the vicinity.
