On the edge of the road leading to the resort. From the GR®30 trail, the Chastreix-Sancy bivouac area is located about 3 km away, passing through Col de Courre.
A shelter located on the free bivouac area with a barbecue, close to hiking trails and the Chastreix-Sancy resort, newly set up for pitching a tent for one night. It is possible to have a fire (fireplace with barbecue grill!), sanitary facilities are freely accessible: taps, toilets and showers. Hikers on the GR®30 or the Sancy Loop, a bivouac area welcomes you at the Chastreix-Sancy resort. It is possible to pitch a tent for free for one night, one hour before sunset and one hour after sunrise. A designated fire area is available. Use your gas stove on the stone part. Nearby, there are toilets, a shower, a water point and a bin. A shelter cabin is available on the bivouac area. It can accommodate up to 3 people for one night in the great outdoors (no reservation possible). For your comfort, bring your own mattress. In partnership with the Association of Natural Parks of the Massif Central and the Auvergne Volcanoes Natural Park. Please respect the cleanliness of the place and the tranquility of everyone so that the Sancy bivouac areas can be maintained.
