The Refuge d'hiver des Bouillouses is an unguarded mountain hut located in the Pyrénées-Orientales. It is publicly owned and situated in the commune of Les Angles.

At the foot of the Bouillouses dam, behind the [->4427], under the various buildings of the holiday camp. The GR 10, the GRP Tour des Pérics and Tour du Capcir pass in front of the door, the GRP Tour du Carlit passes not far away on the other side of the dam.
Single room closed by a metal door and a wooden door with a window. An extendable table made of pallets, 3 chairs, a fixed bench, two storage units, a coat rack (but no hangers), a bunk bed with 4 sleeping places on 2 levels with worn mattresses, two pillows, no blankets, a broom. No fireplace or stove but an electric radiator, no latrines, no running water, no dishes. No electricity during my visit so no heating, no light, no power in the electrical outlet. For water, it is best to collect it from the Lac des Bouillouses. The forest is not far away. Around, flat grassy areas, a fire pit by the road, sorting bins. There are toilets in the tourist information point on the other side of the dam when it is open during the high summer season, but they duplicate those of the refuge which must also be open at the same time.
