At the intersection of the GR de Pays du Tour du Capcir and the trail leading to Rocatells and the Valserra lake. 1 hour 15 minutes walk from the Font Grosse parking lot.
The cabin was renovated by the community of communes in 2024 and has been maintained by the association Tous à Poêle since. Two rooms: the first with a wood stove, a table, benches, dishes for 10, and a lower bunk for 3 people. The second with two lower bunks for 3 people. The stove works well and can heat the room to 20°C during a night at 3°C. There is a hotplate on top to heat water. Kitchen utensils, candles, hooks for hanging laundry, a lamp... are available. A saw is present. Some thin mattresses are available (not necessarily in pristine condition, but welcome), as well as some blankets. The [->7148] is available nearby, as well as a pastoral cabin. Also called refuge de la balmette.
