Parking at the hamlet of La Llau, then 45 minutes on foot via a marked trail. By car From Toulouse or Montpellier, take the A9 to Narbonne, then head towards Barcelona and exit at Le Boulou. Take the D115 towards Céret, then Amélie-les-Bains and Arles-sur-Tech, until reaching the commune of Le Tech towards Prats-de-Mollo. After leaving Le Tech, turn right onto the D74a for 7 km towards La Llau. Cross the hamlet towards Prats-de-Mollo and after 400 m, on the left, you will find the designated parking area. The yellow-marked trail (PR) leading up to the refuge starts 100 m behind you to the left. The hike takes about 45 minutes. By public transport SNCF train to Perpignan, then take the €1 bus to Amélie-les-Bains (car rental and taxi available), Arles-sur-Tech (shuttle possible – La Baillie), or Le Tech (taxi from Prats-de-Mollo on request). On foot From the hamlet of La Llau, cross the hamlet towards Prats-de-Mollo and after 300 m, on the right, you will find the yellow-marked trail (PR) leading up to the refuge. The hike takes about 45 minutes. The refuge is also accessible via the Tour du Canigó, coming from the refuges of Batère (commune of Corsavy) or Las Conques (commune of Prats-de-Mollo), marked GRP.
Staffed period: from the first weekend in April to the last weekend in October. A non-staffed section remains open when the refuge is not staffed.
