Completed by Claude Mauguier, visit on 12/13 July - from the col du Grand Cucheron, easily accessible via a forest road, roughly 2 km. - from, say, Le Bourget en Huile. It's straightforward on maps, but many "tracks" or "paths" shown no longer exist or are impassable. To cut it short, ignore anything branching off to the left of the "col du Champet" path until you reach a post indicating the Baraque à Michel. Pass it and continue until you reach a nice forest road (du Champenet, not du Champet!) around 1360 m. From there, descend for about 1.5 km and scan through the foliage to spot the hut, which has no proper path leading to it, only the deer or fox trail. :P
