Masonry cabin with 2 levels, single-slope roof. Very clean and very pleasant. Expansion/restoration work has been carried out since 2009. Functional stove, axe, saw and dead wood nearby. Tables inside and outside, benches, crockery and saucepan. 10 wide mattresses, 4 downstairs and 6 upstairs. Wool blankets available in drums. Dry toilets in good condition. Intermittent spring downstream from the cabin about a hundred meters away. (When it is dry, another spring flows next to the Cabane du Chasseur when going up the GR towards the Col de la Madeleine). Note that the upper door locks from the inside, so you must enter through the lower door. The lower door is open but can sometimes be difficult to open.
