From Grand Naves, a track and then a path lead to the Bozon pass and Quermoz. The refuge is located just on the north bank of the lake, with a 650 m elevation gain from Grand Naves. The walking time varies between 1h30 and 2h depending on the season, the weight of the pack and other factors.
Very pleasant chalet equipped with a stove, a bench, a table and, if my memory serves me right, mattresses. It includes a chair, a broom, a small shovel and a saw. The wood-burning stove works perfectly: adjust the draft with the lower vent and the knob. The chalet was recently restored, with perfectly insulated walls and roof, but wood must be used sparingly. Water comes from a captured spring located about 10 m to the southeast, with a trough. In winter, a hole is usually dug (marked by a pole painted black and yellow) to access the pipe. The flow of the spring varies with the season and rainfall. In May 2015, during the snowmelt, the flow was very high. There are 12 mattresses upstairs. Pre-cut wood is available. There are two tables, one of which is portable. Running water, a kitchen and toilets are available. There is no GSM network inside the chalet itself. You need to move about 100 m to the west, to the outer edge of a small beaten-earth terrace bordering the pastoral road, to get a correct signal (orange) at best.
