- either 1 km via approximate trails from the Perrière refuge, heading SW, - or from the last hairpin bend before arriving at the Val Pelouse parking area. A forest track branches off and heads southeast, undulating. Take the left path at the intersections
Cabin fully restored in 2010 (see link). Closed and reserved for hunters. A small room to the left of the main façade, preceded by a porch, has been fitted out with the bare minimum to serve as an emergency shelter for hikers. Upper bunk with space for 4 sleepers (a foam mattress), plus 4 chairs and that's all, no table or heating. Only usable in an emergency if you get lost or it's too late to reach the Perrière refuge. A fountain and outdoor toilets are available. Mobile network: Average signal (Orange), much weaker than at the refuge 200 m higher (and outside the forest), but it works
