Val Pelouse parking lot, former ski stadium. Well placed for crossing the Grands Moulins or via the south ridge. On the GR® 738.
The hut was raised and rebuilt in the 1990s by the Arvillard Hunters' Association. The refuge was renovated at the end of June 2018 and spruced up by "Tous à Poêle", then improved again in 2020. You can report the water flow status regularly on [->9157], dry toilets are 50 m below. There are 2 LED lights above the table, powered by solar panels on the roof. As of 2024, there are 4 USB ports for charging compatible electrical equipment (smartphones, headlamps, external batteries, etc.). Inventory as of 07/2024: one stove with 1 cooking spot, 18 mattresses and 18 blankets, a large quantity of cutlery (including fondue picks!), at least 8 pots, pans and kettles, 3 barbecue grills, 2 log saws, an axe and a splitting maul, a broom, small broom and shovel, glasses and plates in quantity, basins, sponges and dish soap, 2 tables + benches inside. GSM network (Orange, Free): excellent signal in front of the hut, slightly attenuated inside.
