Access

Same access as the Ambin refuge, then continue up the valley heading south on a trail marked with red and yellow blazes. Around 2470 m, the markers turn red and lead left then right to Lake Ambin at 2685 m. The trail, still marked, climbs a steep couloir heading west, then at the top turns southeast towards the bivouac, painted red and visible from a distance.
