Access

From Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, reach La Masure then park either at the Pierre Giret car park (1750 m) or at the Plan du Pré car park (1430 m). In both cases, via well-marked trails, you reach the hut located at the top of the chalets of La Motte in about 1h30. Alternatively, from Pierre Giret, you can pass via the Col de Montséti, the Lac Noir and descend to the hut.

Good to know

Private guesthouse guarded only in summer from 15/06 to 15/09. (Although named "refuge", it has no unguarded space outside the guardian period; according to French law "Article D326-3", it is therefore not considered a refuge).
