Access

Reach Val Thuras: Cesana Torinese (Italian side of the Montgenèvre Pass), the village of Bousson, then take the first road on the right to Ruillas (Rhuilles) at 1653m. You can park here or continue on the drivable track at first, then a more stony one as it climbs to the terminus of Granges Thuras at 2071m, just before the new wooden bridge crossing the stream. The track then goes up along Val Thuras to an alpine pasture (cheese sale) and then a very easy path to the Tornior bivouac.

Good to know

Available equipment: 1 table, some stools, a small number of blankets, not enough in case of severe cold with many people in the bivouac.
