Access

Bivouac located 100 m south of Collet du Pelvas (Coletto Palavas), between Tête du Pelvas (2929 m) to the north and Tête de Clos Lapierre (2730 m) to the south. Bivouac visible when approaching from both sides of the pass. Italian side: reach the bottom of Val Pellice, head towards Col d'Urine. Upon arriving at the foot of the scree descending from Tête du Pelvas, take the new marked trail 119 on the left leading to the bivouac (40 min estimated). French side: reach La Monta, shortly after Ristolas, head towards Colette de Gilly. At the height of Bergerie du Pelvas (2200 m), turn off the trail northeast towards Collet du Pelvas. Via a series of gentle grassy steps, reach the pass and the bivouac (visible from afar if not foggy) on the right.

Good to know

Interior equipment: 1 table, 8 stools, 8 sleeping places with mattresses, blankets and pillowcases, lighting (photovoltaic), panoramic window. Water: the nearest source is on the Italian side, at the foot of the massive scree descending from Tête du Pelvas, at the intersection of trails (2354 m) leading to the bivouac or Col d'Urine.
