From the Val d'Avérole: Starting from [->568], head towards Col de l'Autaret 3072m, via the very long Lombarde valley, then cross above Lac de l'Autaret and descend to the lake's outlet. Follow an old well-paved military path that overlooks the other two lakes of l'Autaret until a fork, then take left towards Col Sulé 3073m. Once at the pass, descend the western slope on the moribund glacier di Berta. The trail curves northward to reach the hut's flat area via a steep path. The route is marked throughout. From Refuge [->5378]: Marked and waymarked trail, south of Collarin d'Arnas 2851m, Lago Rossa 2718m and Col Altare 2901m. After descending steeply to the flat area below Col Altare, the trail passes to the right of Lago Pera Ciaval, which can be reached quickly. Continue on the trail to descend to the hut situated on a large flat area. The route is marked throughout. From Val di Viu - Usseglio: Reach Usseglio, then just after Villaretto, a road to the right leads up the valley. At the junction with a track leading to an alpine pasture, signs indicate the direction to Refuge Cibrario. Follow this path to the hut. This hut is located on the Tour de la Bessanese.
