The Arno bivouac is an unguarded hut located on the summit of Punta del Couis, on the ridge separating the Aosta Valley and the Cogne Valley. It is publicly owned.

From Epinel: Parking at the western entrance of the village, or down towards a small stadium near the stream. Numerous fresh water fountains in the village alleys. Take path No. 1 towards Colle Drinc 2560m, which, via a long uninterrupted ascending traverse (following the high-voltage line), climbs to the pass reached by a final slightly steep grassy slope. The path is well marked. Then turn full east along the ridge leading to the bivouac in about ten minutes. From Pila: From the ski resort overlooking Aosta, take path No. 23 to reach Col Drinc, then the bivouac via the ridge.
Interior equipment: - 1 table with 2 seats - 1 "panoramic bar" (see photo), but bring your own drink... - 2 wooden bunk beds (foam mattress provided but bring your own). Warning: No water! Do not wait until the last moment to fill up! Exterior equipment: - Rudimentary toilet area (east side).
