The Cesare Fiorio bivouac (new) is an unguarded hut located below the Pointe Allobrogia, on a balcony on the left bank of the Pré de Bard glacier, in the Valle d'Aosta. It is managed by the municipality of Courmayeur.

Below the Pointe Allobrogia, on a balcony on the left bank of the Pré de Bard glacier. From the [->8844], descend slightly on the drivable track to join a trail that heads onto the moraine on the left bank of the Pré de Bard glacier. At the base below the Petit col Ferret, the trail climbs a steep slope. Just before the col, a balcony trail above the Val Ferret skirts the southern ridge of the Pointe Allobrogia and reaches rocky terrain and small moraines with the bivouac in sight. Allow 3h from the [->8844], 1h from the Petit col Ferret.
There are actually 2 huts: the [->10676] and the new one nearby. Wooden hut covered with zinc sheeting built in 1973. Unguarded, always open, no telephone or internet network. 18 places on three-tiered wooden bunks. Mattresses, blankets. Table, benches. Caution, often crowded as it is highly sought after by hikers (also as an alternative to the [->8844] for those doing the Tour du Mont-Blanc). Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
