Refuge Miserin

The Miserin refuge is a staffed mountain hut located in the Mont Avic Natural Park, beside Lago Miserin. It has been converted from the former hospice for travellers of the Notre-Dame des Neiges sanctuary.

Access

From the Champorcher valley: at the entrance to the Mont Avic Regional Park, starting from Champorcher/Chardonney, go up the Champorcher valley via the Alta Via n°2 (or another route) towards the Fenêtre de Champorcher, until reaching Lago Miserin and the refuge. From the Cogne valley: go up the vast Urtier valley to cross the Fenêtre de Champorcher via the Alta Via n°2 or path n°13, then descend to the refuge near Lago Miserin. Note: do not confuse Lago Miserin (2580 m) in the Champorcher valley (near the refuge) with the Laghi Miserini (2665 m) in the Urtier valley, at the northern foot of Punta Miserino (3004 m).
