From Pla de Senarta (start of the track closed to cars as a shuttle is in place, parking), walk up the GR11 along the Coronas track. The hut is located around 2000 m, at the end of the track, after a bridge that is difficult to cross by car. Allow 2h30 of walking from Senarta. A shuttle runs back and forth (first shuttle at 5:45 at the refuge, last shuttle around 18:00 at the refuge, 10.50 € round trip). It picks up at the Aneto campsite or at Senarta.
Non-guarded Spanish refuge, with: SOS post, lower bunk for 12 (no mattresses), nice table and benches, fireplace, wood nearby and numerous streams (the one in front of the door is ferruginous and therefore very dirtying). The refuge is very busy in summer (GR11, HRP, Trans'pyr, Aneto, many 3000s). The shuttle means it is rarely full.
