Access

By car, go to the village of Aneto (south of the Vielha tunnel). Then take the road (wide and drivable) to the Llauset dam, which ends on a track crossing a 1.4 km tunnel (closed in winter). Park at the edge of the dam, on a large parking area (2200 m). Follow the GR11 trail, which runs along the lake to the north, then, once at the northern end of the lake, head north up the valley to the refuge. Allow 1 hour 30 minutes of walking (3 km), with 200 m of elevation gain.
