From the N230: Park at kilometer 147, by the large Baserca lake. Walk up the road for 200m and take the trail (GR11) to the left, just before the bridge over the Riu Salenques. At around 1625m, take the left trail (still GR11), which climbs very steeply through a deciduous forest. You finally arrive, at around 2150m, on a plateau. The hut is located on the edge of the GR11, in the middle of this plateau, south of the Estany Gran d'Anglios (see photo). Allow 2h30 of walking from the parking lot. From the Llauset dam parking lot: Heading south on the N230 from the Vielha tunnel, turn right onto the road leading up to the Aneto village, continue along the wide, fairly drivable track (9 km), cross the Llauset tunnel and park obligatorily just at the exit of the tunnel (2200m). From there, cross another small tunnel and head due north towards the Col d'Anglios. The path is marked in yellow; at the pass, you can see the refuge. The descent from the pass on the northern side is via an eastward traverse. Allow 1h20 of walking from the parking lot.
Beautiful wooden chalet (renovated in 2006). 6 places, basic bunk beds, water.
