Non-guarded refuge located in the Pallars Sobirà, managed by the Federació d'Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya. It is situated in the municipality of Alins.

Catalonia, Val Ferrera: Alins, Areu, then a long stony track, more or less passable, leads to the Terminus de la Molinassa parking area at 1800 m. Continue on the track, do not turn towards the Vallferrera refuge, keep heading towards the Plat de Boet without descending there (note: there are picnic tables and shortly after a tapped spring, 5 minutes from the track, a round trip to this fresh source is highly recommended). The path continues gently uphill, crossing a wet area, several plateaus, and reaches the refuge without difficulty after passing by a lake. From Andorra: Drive to Arinsal, then hike to the Coma Pedrosa refuge, followed by the Port de Baiau at 2756 m and a steep descent to the refuge.

Water is also available when ascending to Collada dels Estanys Forcats (access to Pic de Medacorba). - The refuge is said to accommodate 18 people, with 9 wide bunks; using the "head-to-toe" method allows fitting in ... (for smaller individuals).
