The shelter is located near the Tour du Mont Blanc trail, halfway between Praz de Fort and La Fouly. It is situated just before a vehicle footbridge over the Dranse de Ferret.
The stove is rustic but works well. The insulation is average, but the very small space heats up easily. There are 2 sleeping places on a low bunk (bring an inflatable mattress as comfort is very basic (see photos)). There is a table, a chair, a stool and a basic bench. There are no tools or dishes. Water can be found in the nearby Dranse de Ferret (to be filtered or boiled).
