The shelter is located on the southwest slope of the 2927 m saddle between Bella Tola (southeast) and the trig point of Rothorn (northwest, 2998 m). Route: Schwartzhorn, Bella Tola, starting from Tignousa or the guarded Bella Tola hut.
Various remarks: - I passed through on 12 and 13 August 2011. The hut is 20 years old, with average insulation: drafts, gaps between the planks, 2 holes in the walls, no windows except on the door; 3 shutters, one is blocked, another closes with a plank. - Table (about 8 people), benches along the walls. - Snow shovel. - The lock closes with a key, but I do not know where to find it, nor when the hut is locked. - 15 m² high ceiling. - Bring a broom, the floor is dusty. - It is ambitious to sleep there, sleeping difficult, low temperatures even in good weather, bring warm equipment. The sunset behind the Diablerets and the sunrise over the Weisshorn, the Matterhorn and the Dent Blanche will reward you.
