From the Brunet hut, accessible by car, reach the Panossière hut in 3 hours via the Maye. Access from Col des Avouillons is no longer possible due to glacier melt; the moraine is collapsing, so you must descend to the footbridge (2014), which is also used when coming from the Maye.
Magnificent site at the foot of the Grand Combin. Excellent welcome by a very friendly keeper. During the guard period: half board, simple meals, water or snow all year round, drinks. NO WINTER ROOM !!
