On the GR 5 between Chappelle d'Abondance and Les Crosets (Switzerland). From France: park at Les Lindarets, follow the drivable path at the bottom of the valley. After a small climb of 400 m, take a small path to the left under the chairlift that climbs along the valley side to the Chésery pass. Take the GR5 to the right for 400 m. Alternatively (less elevation gain): park at Bassachaux pass, follow the GR5 along the ridge to the Chésery pass. Take the GR5 to the right for 400 m. From Switzerland: in Morgins, take a small paved road southward following the Val de Morgins almost to the end. Park when the road turns left and starts climbing northward. Then take a steep pedestrian path via Fontaine Blanche, the Chésery lake, then the Vert lake. The refuge is located by the Vert lake.
