The Cabane du Mont d'Or is a guarded mountain hut located in the canton of Vaud, managed by the CAS hut committee. It is open during the guard season.

Either by crossing from or towards the summit ridge of Mont d'Or (caution in winter or poor visibility: cornices overhanging the cliffs to the east, over 3 km). Or from the west through woods, forest tracks, etc. (from Métabief, Les Longevilles, Rochejean, etc.). Alternatively from Vallorbe train station via pastoral tracks, 600 m of elevation gain, 2 hours of walking. In winter: From the top of the Morond chairlift (France) in 1 hour Vallorbe, Les Tavins (via the former Vallorbe-Pontarlier railway line, Morond, the Mont d'Or ridge to the hut, 4 hours).
The hut is guarded on weekends by members of the CAS Vallorbe. Otherwise, it is closed. Therefore, if you wish to stay, it is necessary to notify in advance as the hut may be full. For more details, visit the CAS Vallorbe website and view the photos.
