The Giacomini Hut is a privately owned staffed mountain hut located in Gryon, in the canton of Vaud. It is open during the summer season and on certain winter weekends.

Coordinates: 578685 / 126350 You can reach it either by car to Solalex, or by train from Bex to Barboleusaz, then by post bus to Solalex. From Solalex to Anzeindaz it takes about one hour of walking, first through the forest and then along a trail between scree and alpine pastures. For those who wish to avoid this walk, the journey from Solalex to Anzeindaz can be made by the hut's taxi (on request). From Derborence Lac: 2h00
The Giacomini Hut is located on the renowned Villars - Barboleusaz - Derborence trail. It is also one of the stops on the Tour des Muverans and the Tour du massif des Diablerets. Staffed year-round from June to November, and on weekends from January to June (in winter, the owner may open the hut for groups of 20 or more). At the Giacomini Hut, you sleep in Nordic style. Bedding is provided for both dormitory and private room stays. However, a "sleeping bag liner" (thin sleeping bag/sleeping bag liner) is mandatory in dormitories. For those without one, non-woven bags are available for purchase at the hut (CHF 5.-). Showers are included in the price of private rooms. For dormitories, an additional fee of CHF 6.- is charged separately. Accommodation at the hut includes: 5 double rooms 3 triple rooms 1 quadruple room Toilets and showers on the upper floor. 4 dormitories (6/8/9/10 beds) Toilets and sanitary facilities on the upper floor. Total of 56 beds. Baby beds are available for a surcharge. Dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a leash and stay in their owner's room. Dogs are not allowed in dormitories! Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
