Ötztal Valley: Drive to the village of Vent at 1900m, at the end of the valley (via Solden). In Vent, parking is mandatory (or almost, but at a reasonable price). Ascent via the Breslauer Hutte (cable car approach possible in summer), then passing the Vernag Hütte, then a glacier section to reach the base of the Fluchtkogel and continue southwest to the hut visible on its rocky spur. Ascent via Hochjoch-Hospiz, then west via the Deloretteweg, then a glacier section to reach the hut. From Italy, drive via Bolzano, starting from the Weisskugelhütte 2547m (Pie XI Hut) - CAI Section Desio: A rising traverse path to the east that allows climbing (cable section on a ledge) and reaching the vast Gepatchferner Glacier, then a long, fairly flat glacier section northeast to the hut on its rocky spur.
Open period: mid-June / mid-September. Winter hut: 10 places.
