Access is possible via various hiking trails leading to Montagnette. The cabin is located a few dozen metres below on the south face of the summit.
The cabin can accommodate 4 to 5 people seated, with a table and 2 benches fixed to the wall. A sleeping platform allows one person to lie down; the cabin will barely accommodate a second sleeper. A stove is present with a chimney in good condition, but untested. The chimney pipe clearly heats up strongly. In addition to the direct risk of burns, there is also a risk at roof level. Do not use without supervision, especially at night when everyone is asleep! The roof was redone about ten years ago and provides good protection. The door closes properly and offers proper shelter. There is no water source nearby. For firewood, you need to descend towards Saint Vincent for about a hundred metres.
