10 minutes on foot from the Cayolle road pass, 2 minutes by car, coming from Uvernet Four to the North or Estenc to the South. The refuge is located alongside the road.
Consists of 2 floors, each with 2 rooms containing 8 bunk beds (32 places in total). Blankets are provided, but you must bring your own sleeping bag or sheets. A common room is available to the public (free of charge) and open from 7:00 to 21:30, as well as toilets and access to external water (also free). It also serves as a dining room and has a stove. A separate building is dedicated to the history of the Mercantour Park, its wildlife and management. Dinner is served at exactly 19:00 and hikers can be accommodated until 21:00 at the latest. No hot showers since August 2018. Electricity for lighting is provided by solar panels, but cannot be used to charge electronic devices. There is no mobile phone network access, but upon request, you may use the refuge's telephone.
