Access

From the south: access via the Gorges de Daluis, Guillaumes and Entraunes. The refuge is located 5 km below the Col de la Cayolle, on the south side. Road cleared of snow to the refuge all winter. From the north: access via Barcelonnette and the Col de la Cayolle. Road open from early May to late October (call for exact conditions).

Good to know

Guarded year-round. Hot showers, collective heating. Quality home cooking. Possible loop hikes. This is one of the refuges of the Mercantour National Park (not CAF), so no special discounts.
