From Aulus, take the D8f to the place called "Coumebière". Take an exploitation path southeast for 200m. Then cut across meadows southwest for 200m. You will come across a pastoral ensemble of which the hut is one of the elements.
Can serve as an emergency shelter in winter, as the pass is not cleared of snow. This hut was restored for the edification of tourist masses. You can still shelter there if the role of an Ariège figurant does not bother you. When dry, a sleeping bench for 3, that's all. The hearth has been omitted, lest the tourist masses have the bad idea of setting it on fire! The name is that of the last shepherd who occupied it.
